Permanent Team Members x2 (Couple or Friends)

The award winning Ben Cruachan Inn are seeking to recruit a couple or friends as General Assistants/Team Members to replace our long-term summer teams, leaving for University.

 

We’re a small roadside and country inn always aiming to offer the best welcome, excellent food, a comfortable stay and above all something different from the norm.

The Day to Day

  • One team member will be working mostly within our Front of House team, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner; alcoholic, soft and hot drinks from our bar as well as checking in guests during the reception and welcome process.
  • One team member will be working mostly within our Back of House team, housekeeping duties, supervising in the section and assisting in the kitchen as KP, the option to learn under the chefs is possible (when required).
  • Ideally one candidate would prefer FOH work and the other BOH, however everyone here is required to be flexible and work where the business requires you. The vast majority of the time you will be within your own normal working section, we are always happy for team members of the same training level to manage their own workload and schedule with colleagues.
  • We are looking for a couple or friends who are looking to make a long term commitment to the business and work with us for a minimum of the winter and summer 2023/24 seasons – therefore the recruitment process will not be immediate, whilst we ensure the right candidates are employed.

 

Deal Breaker Requirements

  • You must be available to work no later than 13th August 2023.
  • You must have relevant experience in the hospitality trade, but we are willing to train you.
  • No leave requests prior to October 2023 – this does not include days off (2 days per week).
  • We require two employees for this position, we cannot accept single applications – please ensure both CV’s are attached to your application.
  • We are a close-nit team that open all with open arms, it’s imperative you play your role in the team both in the workplace and socially.

 

Remuneration

  • In return for your hard work and commitment, we will offer an initial starting rate of
  • £11.00 P/H, £11.50 following the season with a review after 1 year.

Expected £12.00 p/h 2024.

  • Paid 4 Weekly.
  • Free meals on duty, either breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner, complementary hot drinks to all team members.

 

Gratuities

Average in the range of £1 per hour worked. Paid 4 Weekly between pay dates.

 

Accommodation

  • A private onsite double studio cabin is available for the right candidates, currently offered rent free, with a review in October. – It is not anticipated a charge will be levied, however a small contribution to electricity costs maybe applied. (No Pets).  
  • The cabin is fully refurbished, includes double bed, kitchen, private shower room and WC. Television and WiFi.

  • Paid Holidays when booked in advance.
  • We are working toward implementing a 4 day working week for our full-time team members.
  • Up to 1 month sabbatical leave between November and March
